Before First Use
To clean your new COOKIT cooking system, hand wash each piece in warm, soapy water, including the handles. Add one cup of vinegar per gallon of water to remove manufacturing oils, polishing compounds, and shipping debris. Rinse in clear, warm water and dry with a clean, soft towel
Normal Cleaning
After using the cookware, take off the handles and wash both the cookware and handles in warm, soapy water. Then, rinse and dry them. You can also detach the handles and put the cookware in the dishwasher. Just use a non-abrasive cleaner on the handles and don't wash the handles in the dishwasher.
For Stubborn Stains or Stuck-On Food
"Clean cookware using warm water and a gentle stainless steel cleaning product, like COOKIT Surface Master. Make a paste with the cleaning product and a small quantity of water, then apply the paste in circular motions with a damp paper towel. Rinse thoroughly in warm, soapy water to eliminate any leftover cleaner, and then dry using a fresh, dry towel."
IMPORTANT: To keep your cookware looking its best, it's important to only clean the covers and exterior surfaces with hot, soapy water. Avoid using steel wool and abrasive cleaners on the outside of your cookware or on top of the covers, as this can cause scratches and dull the finish.

PRODUCT HOW TO USE
Cleaning Your Cookware

Using Your COOKIT Cookware
-
Please make sure to use the correct size pan and fill it to at least two-thirds full with food.
-
Remember to preheat the pan on medium heat before cooking dense foods like meat or poultry. Preheating usually takes three to five minutes. You can check if the pan is properly preheated by splashing a few drops of water on the surface. If the water drops skitter on the surface, the pan is ready to use.
-
Start the cooking process by placing the ingredients in the pan and covering it with a lid while using medium heat on your cooktop. Pay attention for the sound of the LID. When you hear the lid clicking, lower the temperature to a low setting. Follow the recipe instructions or cook until you achieve the desired doneness..
The COOKIT Cooking Method
The COOKIT Thermal Knob
Once the COOKIT Thermal Knob reaches the green indicator, it's time to lower the temperature to a low setting. For electric ranges, set it to the lowest setting, and for gas ranges, adjust it to the lowest flame without extinguishing it. If the lowest flame is still too high, a heat-diffusing ring or pad made for gas ranges can be used. Avoid opening the cover until the food is cooked.
Cooking Temperatures & Your Cookware
Be careful when cooking with high heat, as it can cause warping. When the cooking temperature is too high, your food is more likely to stick, scorch, or burn. High heat can also cause food to shrink and become dry, leading to a reduction in nutritional value.
It's okay to bring large amounts of liquid to a boil in COOKIT cookware, such as water for pasta, over medium to high heat. Once the boiling point is reached, reduce the heat to a lower temperature setting. Keep in mind that it's never necessary to set a burner on the highest heat, even when boiling water.
Remember to avoid rapid changes in temperature, such as placing a hot pan in cold water, as this can cause stainless steel to warp. To prevent this, make sure to let your cookware cool first before adding warm water. Additionally, never put cold water into a hot pan.
Refrain from directly applying salt to your cookware's interior surface. Ensure salt dissolves completely to prevent white spots and pitting.
